Alexander Jodorowsky Is Coming To PS1
Jodorowsky is coming back in celluloid form at PS 1 this Spring and while this in itself is pretty great what's really exciting is this little snippet from the website:
"Selected in close collaboration with the artist, materials related to the film will be exhibited in the side galleries adjacent to the screening room."
The film Holy Mountain was produced in big part by Yoko Ono and John Lennon and not only is a visual masterpiece but is also a complete mindfuck. I'm really hoping that the "materials on display" are some of the sick Tarot Card paintings from the film.

Elizabeth Taylor Had Amazing Eyeliner
Though she's known almost as much for her acting chops as for her tumultuous personal life, one thing about Elizabeth Taylor that's often overlooked were her amazing make-up application skills. Though her perfume hawking abilities certainly paid the rent, Miz Taylor's dramatic flair for eyeliner was something truly worthy of her iconic status.
Check out a little demo video from her 1974 film The Driver's Seat below:

Infamous v Famous women
When I was a little girl my mother gave me coloring books of historical figures. One was "Famous Figures" and one was "Infamous Figures". I asked my mother what the difference was and she said being famous means a lot of people know who you are, and being infamous means a lot of people know who you are, but don't necessarily like you.
